My Jack Russell, keeps on swallowing?

Like he has just had something to eat. It is driving me crazier as he even lifts his head when he has been asleep to make the sound like he is l*****g his lips and swallowing at the same time. What is it ???

This doesn't sound like normal behaviour to me.  Firstly you need to check his mouth and throat to see if a bone or bit of stick or something is stuck there. If it seems clear then you need to take him to the vet.  He may have a growth or obstruction that you cannot see.  It may be as simple as a polyp which can be easily removed by the vet, or something else but you need to find out what.  Your dog will thank you for it.  I hope you can get it sorted quickly.

Have you checked to see that he has anything stuck in his throat?  Or has he hurt his mouth?
