My Janome my excel 23x

My Janome my excel 23x is not stitching correctly. Stitches are not securing in the fabric, so the result is a straight line of messy stitching. It does this on stretch and non stretch fabric. I have adjusted the tension, ensured correct threading of top thread and bobbin. What next?Kylie
