  1. with the changing of leaves there is a science behind it. in some places trees don't change colour even if they are supposed to. I think the place in where the tree is in the world can affect the colour of the leaves. The website I'm providing in the sources tells you why they change. Also if you think abut it spring is like autumn but it might be going back to green because instead the climate is reversing to summer rather than winter. If you want an expert opinion it's best if you go to your local gardening shop and ask them why this is happening. And well it's no cause for concern so don't be too worried about this; of course if this question was just because of curiousity i would think that it would be better to just call up the gardening shop instead of actually visiting it.

  2. Might be too much shade to have the good red color.

  3. Most Japanese maples do this.  The best you can do is pick a variety that holds onto its leaf colour for a bit longer than spring.  When you buy them get advice from the seller as the labels usually show them only in spring or autumn colour when they look their best and don't indicate how long the spring colour stays.

  4. It's natural. Maples change color with the seasons, light conditions, change in temperature, and in the fall, they develop fall color according to the amount of sunny days to cool nights coupled with the amount of rainfall.

If the plant is a good red in the early spring and then greens up, chances are your tree will again develop fine color in the late fall.

  5. its foreign? idk. my japenese maple is falling over because of the storms we have been having

  6. It all depends on the type of Japanese Maple it is....Plus the fact that most are grafted trees as opposed to seed planted trees.  There are hundreds of kinds so without a name it would be hard to say why your does that.
