My Kitty and I keep Shocking eachother!

Question

MY other cat it never hapens but my tabby cat everytime i go to pet him or i touch his nose he shocks me. And I know it hurts him because when I touch his nose and shock him he does this little sneeze thing and twitches his head. How do I get it to stop this has been happening for the past week so far .

Before you go to pet your cat, touch a non-static object... like a wall or something... this will eliminate the static.

aww your poor kitty i've done that before with my parents cat there is too much static pat his back first to ground the static and it won't hurt him then touch his head and he should be fine

I've heard that wiping your hands on a fabric softener strip helps reduce the static.
