  1. i had this exact same problem. i went to a kodak store to get it repaired but the owner said it would be impractical to have it fixed because it would be very expensive. he advised me that it was better if i just got a new camera, it would be cheaper that way since cameras today evolve very quickly and the parts were just too pricey.

  2. If you've had it less than a year, it is still under warrant with Kodak, providing you kept the receipt. You have to go to their website and register the product, if you haven't already, and then put in a request for service. Then just follow the instructions for mailing it away. I had to have one fixed last year and they got it back to me pretty quickly. If it's not fixable, they will charge you some ridiculous price to send it back, at which point you're really better off buying a new one. I had a different problem with my first Kodak camera, but it's fixed and is working great. We bought a second one that is having the same problem yours is. Someone did suggest to me that you take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and clean of the batter connections. I haven't tried that yet, but it's worth a shot before going through the trouble of mailing it back or buying a new one. Good luck!
