My LCD TV is malfunctioning?

An Element TV it turns on but then the screen is just black. It shows the little start up thing but even when i try changing the channels or the input nothing works. Is there a way to fix this? (preferably without spending a cent)

There is a problem with the power supply.  To replace it would be more than the value of the television.  You will have to get a different television.
