  2. Microsoft word is NOT part of windows.  You have to purchase it seperately...  You can get a free program that does most of what word does, and even opens word documents from http://openoffice.org

  3. You can also buy it at Best Buy or Staples and install it yourself.  There are a lot of bootleg copies available from P2P sharing networks, but of course you would have to be careful of what you were downloading so that you don't end up with a virus.
