My Left Kneecap Hurts..?

Question

My left kneecap hurts. It started about 3 days ago... I wasn't fussed then, but I am worried now.. Anytime I crouch I'm scared to get back up again because they crack & ache & hurt and all that.. I don't know what to do.

I'm only 14.. Should it be something to worry about? I don't know. Only thing that I can think of is that I am on the computer 3 hours a day... but my friend is on her comp more than me and her kneecaps don't hurt?

Any help please?

I had a really bad pain in my kneecap (my right one) when I was about your age - is it dead intense like as if it's right behind your patella?  If it is, you should speak to your doc to confirm of course, but it could be chondromalacia patellae (sp?!) which is most common in young girls.  They can give physical therapy and pain killers etc etc but you should defo go to docs regardless - you need checked out!
