My Leisure sterling 2100 gas cooker Lights but flame doesn't go up?

My gas oven has just decided to give up heating to the temp I want. it lights ok but the flame never grows? Any ideas if I can fix this and what it is I need?

  1. Ted is spot on,the liquid expansion valve can stick,sometimes a couple of little gentle taps on the valve can free it.To locate the valve,trace back from the the phail probe.


  2. Check that the oven burner is clean, there is a probe on top of the burner, if food or grease has been spilt preventing the heating of this probe the flame won't rise. If the flame is OK you will need this probe replaced, it is called an FSD [flame supervision device]. You would need a Corgi engineer to do this repair.
