  1. It means if he's not - he's on his way to being.

I would strongly recommend that you get him off the sand asap, and please read this link in full:

One picture is worth a thousand words.

I hope your gecko isn't impacted, and I hope this has been of help.

  2. If he is passing waste, than no. An impaction causes the inability to move anything out of the body. The sand in his waste means that he is eating it. Do you feed your gecko inside of his tank? If so you may want to consider buying a critter keeper and using it as a lizard cafeteria.

Sand may look good in the habitat but it is not the best substrate for a gecko.

  3. Firstly if your Leopard Gecko is impact he wont p**p at all. Impaction stops everything so that whatever goes in cant get out. Secondly if your substrate is sand then well need I say more? Remember the Geckos food can never be any bigger than the size of its head this is called the rule of the thumb. If you dont follow this rule it can cause impaction. NEVER use Calci sand as a food supplement because if they take in too much it can cause impaction. But I wouldnt worry sounds as if it doesnt have impaction.

  4. No it doesnt but dont take him off sand unless hes just plain out eating it just move him to a small contanier with a paper towel substrate for feeding and your problem is fixed have anymore questions u can email me

  5. yes it fine it when it eat its food it swallows sand with it
