It says it's attached to the computer but it keeps saying that it can't make the connection to print. I've unplugged it and replugged it back in again, I've restarted it, I've un and replugged the usb cable, nothing is working! What else can I do to get it to work? It does this all the time, how I can I get it to print constantly?

  1. If you still have your papers (guidebooks, etc.) call the lexmark 800 number. If its still under warranty you could maybe get a new one. Thats probably the best route to take though, instead of getting aggrivated because you can't fix it yourself.

  2. Reload the software that came with the printer.  After that, go on the internet and see if there have been any updates to your printer driver and download any updates.

  3. Try Reinstalling, Then Try, If Not, Then Update Your PC.

  4. do you have ink?

  5. I had the same problem with my lexmark, it wouldnt print if its mechanical life depended on it, theres probably just a limit to the printer and lexmark are known for their problems, unless u buy an expensive one, i mean expensive. Its best to just give up on it a and get a reliable one like HP. Even if you do manage to fix it, it still will have problems in the future, Lexmark=Bad Printers

  6. Download the drivers for the printer and re-install them. They should be available at the lexmark website usually in the support or downloads section. You will be required to provide your model number. Which can be found on a sticker on the back of your printer.
