...is their a product that I can use to glue it back down? I'm afraid that if I use the wrong adhesive it will cause the floor to yellow, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  1. You can use Henry sheet vinyl adhesive. Can't you tack quarter round or shoe moulding around the perimeter?

  2. before trying to glue it back(which will really be a hard job that may or may not work), look into buying some cove base which comes in many colors that you glue to the wall. We use it a lot on cement floors when you can not use molding. It also looks really good.

  3. Contact cement

    Home Depot

  4. You should be able to find a special purpose adhesive at one of the “big box” stores: Depot or Lowes.  The question I have concerns why the floor is coming up – and if it’s water then there are additional issues beyond simply gluing the floor back down.

Also, you may find that the floor has a bit of a “memory”, and really doesn’t want to lay flat while the glue sets up.  If this is the case, you may be able to help the situation by using a hair dryer to heat the vinyl to make it more pliable (don’t get too close / hot or you may discolor the floor).  Then place some heavy books over the newly glued floor for a few days.

Good luck and good thinking to be concerned about color change w/ wrong product.
