  1. Well little girls often like theme parties, so you could decorate the house and rent movies that go along with the theme....

At party stores there are themed games, too.

Prizes or party favors are always a good idea.

I wouldn't worry too much, as lond as there are movies, snacks and a game or two they will pretty much have fun all by themselves... you will just have to check on them.

  2. 9 year olds like getting done up cute...give them pedicures and do their hair. Then let them watch a movie...just be careful to make sure that it's something their parents will approve of. Make sure you have plenty of food on hand too...it's amazing how much little girls eat these days!

  3. thats weird i just helped my sister in law with a sleep over for my 9 year old niece when the kids first got there we made home made pizza and let each girl make her own, while they were baking we played outside with a big jump rope, aftet they ate we decorated pillow cases and sleep shirts with fabric paints and stamps (my sister in law just got a big pack of mens undershirts and some cheep pillow cases from walmart), then we had cake and ice cream and did presents, then everyone changed and set up there sleeping bags in the den, then we played games like musical chairs and dance freeze and my sister in law had got some lipgloss from i think the dollar store to use as prizes, after me and my sister in law painted each of the girls nails while the others watched a movie and ate popcorn, we had hoped they would be tired by then but they werent so we had a "dance party" and just played music and let the girls dance around for a while, once they were tired of that we put in a movie and told everyone to get there sleeping bag and everyone fell asleep i think maybe one or two stayed up till the end of the movie but everyone else fell asleep, in the morning we fixed flower pancakes and sung happy birthday again because it was my nieces actual birthday and then the kids got picked up it was a lot of fun and for party favors they had the sleep shirt, pillow case, and i made some c.d.s with some disney songs on it and wrote Sarah Kates 9th Birthday Mix and put some stickers on it to decorate it

in case you need some movie ideas we watched college road trip and aquamarine but any disney movie would be good

  4. Leave the house - go stay with some of your friends.

  5. when my girls were that age, I let them make their own pizzas, (just lay out all the fixings and let them create what they like on a premade crust) have plenty of snacks, rent some movies, have plenty of board games around, hold a dance contest, do a scavenger hunt, let them play with make-up, buy basic white tees and let them decorate their own to take home.

    9 year olds are fun.

  6. dvd, pizza, singstar (if you have it) pass the parcel, dancing. The rest should take care of itself. They are nine, they are quite good at thinking up ideas. You could do facials (use a low allergenic product) or do up hair (use their own brushes) but all will be good. DVD and Food is most important

  7. Are you helping with the party? My daughter is 9 but I'm not brave enough for 12 of them to sleep over. Anyways i would rent movies ask your sister what movies she likes. I would buy chips and pizza plus cake and ice cream. You could have them play games and do make overs. little girls love to do there hair in crazy styles.

  8. 9 year olds love crafts, and dress up and make overs, (don't call it dress up they will think it's for babies). My daughter has a sleep over all the time for her birthday (she is 10) and the last few years we have been having fashion shows. Go to the dollar store get things to make cheap tee shirts, fabric glue glitter fabric markers use your imagination, also get things to make jewlery. get some old makeup maybe colors you thought you liked but when you got home didn't let them do each others hair and makeup make the shirts and jewlrey and but on a fashion show, it is so much fun to see there idea of cute hair and make up and it takes all night makeing the stuff, and outting on the show. I would also get a dvd to watch while everyone is done and ready to wind down. Good Luck and have fun.

I almost forgot about dinner, We always make pizzas I get biscuts and let the girls flatting them, 2-3 each let them add some sauce and toppings and cheese then put them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. The key is to keep them busy so no one gets board and games can hurt feelings quickly if the same people keep winning or losing, this way they are always doing something, they are invalved and being creative, and no compatation, so hopefully no disagreaments!

  9. Order pizza, and get all the supplies for having a fabulous "ice cream sundae" party.  Supply them with some tunes, make-up (doesn't have to be the good stuff), and movies.  Have fun with it - your little sister will remember how you interact with her and her friends on this night for the rest of her life - so great of you to do this for her!  Perhaps the most obvious thing - ask your sister what she would like to see happen at her party.  Good Luck!

  10. For the future, twelve kids seems like a lot to handle all night. A smaller group of around 4 or 5 is probably best.

Well, you should have some games ready for them, maybe you could organize something like a "treasure hunt" by hiding candy and writing up some clues for them to solve (I used to do that at my friend's house all the time when I was around that age - it was a blast).

If there's any other adult staying at the house, ask them to look after the kids while you go out and rent some movies (take requests) and buy some food, or vice-versa. If there will be no one else to look after all the kids while you pick up entertainment, visit to movie rental place prior to the party, and hope your sister will know what they like.

Order a pizza or something for dinner, or maybe pick something up while you're out getting to movies. Get them in their PJ's and all that by a decent time (not meaning they have to go to sleep just then - they should just be ready, they can fall asleep so suddenly =P). You should stay up for a while, check on them every once in a while. (Also, if there's pop, make them leave it on the table... that stuff leaves a stain)

... that's about it :P hope it helps.

  11. just get some dvds to rent, ice cream and lots of sweets. she will love it. And dont forget to get something nice for your sister.

  12. Crafts are and excellent activity.  Try beads (not the big plasic baby ones) from the craft store.  Making bead bracelets (to match bathing suits) is fun and takes a lot of time.  You could also try "make your own sundaes" and movies.

  13. Go to the store and get a ton of party food

(chips, drink, pizza, ice cream, etc).... then rent a bunch of chick flick and other movies that u think they would like.... Also... u could have a dance contest with all the girls and make them vote on a peice of paper who was the best..... and u could have make-overs and stuff..... go to the store and buy some cheap make-up and stuff.....hope it helps!

  14. Watch movies eat icecream and have fun have like a spa do there nails do face masks and somthing fun with there hair
