My Lord favourite for the Wolverhampton-Racecourse.Co.UK Classified Claiming Stakes

My Lord has the best chances of winning the Wolverhampton-Racecourse.Co.UK Classified Claiming Stakes in England on Monday, February 27, 2012. The cash prize for winning the class-6 event is £1,704.
A total of nine runners have been confirmed for the race and their names are: Steelcut, My Lord, El Dececy, Sarah´s Art, Whipphound, Cape Of Storms, Bertie Southstreet and Mother Jones.
Ronald Harris’ trained gelding, My Lord, has won four races in his career until now. He is a consistent performer, as there have been a total of 16 times out of 23, where he finished amongst the top three.
Due to this, the bookmakers have shown quite a lot of faith in him for today’s race and the punters will also be keeping a close eye on his outing.
The four-year-old gelding will be partnered by jockey, Luke Morris, who has got plenty of experience in horseracing. He will be eying a strong show today, so that his horse can finish on top of the table.
Frank Sheridan’s trained, Eyes On, will also be one of the favourites to make a solid impression today. He does not have any race victory to his name, but that does not rule him out of contention from winning at Wolverhampton.
The four-year-old filly will be ridden by jockey, Raul Da Silva, who has been performing decently recently. However, he will be looking forward to improve his winning percentage, which is a touch on the lower side.
Another runner expected to produce a strong result today will be Steelcut, trained by David Evans. He has entered 75 events in his career so far, winning 10 of them. His percentage of victories is on the lower side due to which the bettors might be a touch
hesitant to invest money on him.
The eight-year-old gelding will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Joe Fanning, who will be confident of adding one more victory to his name today.
Other than the top three favourites, Whipphound has the ability to spring up a surprise at Wolverhampton. He has earned a couple of wins out of his 19 outings. He will be ridden by seasoned jockey, Shane Kelly.
Although the competition between the top three seems to be quite close, My Lord has a slight edge over the other runners and has a very good chance of winning today.
