My Lovebirds won't enter the nesting box?

Question

I have a male and female Lovebird, that are, in love.

They love their nesting box and love sitting on top of it. Everytime 1 of them goes to eat, the other one sits on the nesting box to protect it to make sure no other birds fly into the cage and steal the nesting box. (Wierd I know.)

This is all very nice... But... THEY WON'T GO IN TO SEE THE INSIDE OF THE NESTING BOX!

The female sits at the entrance and chews the wood, but nothing more. I thought they would be more "enthusiastic".

Please help!

i hear u the same with me i put the box in with some twigs and they dont even go on the top half of the cage!!!!!
