My MP3 PLAYER ERASES MY SONGS!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, let me describe it a little more clearly. They play just fine on my mp3 player, but when I go to download new ones off the computer, all of them are erased to make way for new songs. I only have like 9, and this happens every time!!!!!1111
