My MP3 player was plugged

my MP3 player was plugged in the USB port in my computer charging, someone in my house turned off the computer not noticing my MP3 was in the computer..now my MP3 player is just flashing, well the screen just flashes..iv tried reseting it and still not working?any ideas of how to fix it
