My Mac book won't stop talking!!!!! HELP!?

Somehow my Macbook got its itself on a setting wear it says everything I do, what i type, what program i go onto. At first it was funny but now its so annoying. I'm so close to throwing it againist a wall. help me please.

I already tried going to to system preferences in the speech section, but nothing changed!

  1. Betting it was the Voiceover feature under the Universal access System Preference right?

    It can be turned on & off with  Ã¢ÂŒÂ˜(command) + F5, which you probably hit accidentally, happens a lot.


  2. you can tap the mute key to silence it.

    you need to go into speech recognition and fix your setting.

    You might have accidentally clicked on "text to speech". It says what you type.  Switch it back to speech recognition. It will stop saying what you type.
