My Male Betta wont make a bubble nest, what should i do?

My Male Betta is a crowntail (blue and green) and he will flare up at the female but the female wont flare back she just swims around, i have her in a jar floating in the tank with the male, but all the male does is flare up and then swim around, and i dont know what to do cause he wont build a bubble nest, the whole set up it done correctly so can someone help me?!!
