Question:

My Math Level 2 Subject Test score is higher than my math score on the SAT Reasoning Test...?

I just got my June SAT Subject Test results back and I'm very pleased with them: 710 on the Math Level 2 test and 770 on Biology M. The strange thing is, despite these high subject test scores, my SAT scores are somewhat mediocre in comparison (1980 is my highest...so far). In the math section on the SAT, I tend to fall in the low 600s (640 is my highest...so far). That's why I was expecting something in the 600s on my Math Subject Test, but instead I get a score in the 700s (!). Will colleges be suspicious of this discrepancy (that is, will they attribute my 710 to luck and therefore disregard it?).

  1. Hello huyz,

I had prepared for  the Maths LI test but on the real day I actually took both L1 and L2. I scored 780 in both. Which SAT scores shud I send to colleges?  I am planing to send both scores, but is a 780 in Maths I considered a good scored? What is the minimum score in Maths I that is considered good??

And BTW, maths II is a very easy test. I gave a blind real maths II test and still scored a 780. I  had only practiced little for the Maths I but I found Maths I more challenging on the real test day. I had thought that I would carefully answer on the Maths I test so as to prevent careless mistakes, but the questions on Maths I were much more difficult. So I also attempted Maths II on the spot after the Maths I test, and I missed just five questions.Few others were wrong. If u have a good Trigonometry and Functions base, u can score much higher in Maths II.

And please answer to my questions !!!
