  1. Your watch needs to be degaussed (demagnetized). This is done by passing the watch through a degaussing coil, disrupting the ferrous metal polarization. I would take it to a watch maker or tool shop. The watchmaker is the best choice as a competent watchmaker will disassemble, clean and lubricate the mechanism as well.


  2. Get it demagnetized. Any jeweler can do that. Or if you have a tape head demagnetizer, use that.
