  1. When the float bowl of your carb is filled with fuel, the inlet is suppossed to be shut with a rubber tipped float pin.  This rubber tip is what wears out and becomes ineffective over a period of time.  Please replace this float pin with a brand new one.  It's very affordable.  This should solve your problem.

  2. Right mate, I used to buy and sell these, and build these from scratch so i know what im talking about.

When you pour petrol in your tank, if it's pissing out of the over flow pipe then it is 100% a problem with your carb.

What you do is take off the 2 screws that hold the airbox onto the carb or if you have a k&n just remove that. This will reveal 2 alan bolts in the carb. Remove these, then the carb will fall away. Unscrew the top of the carb where the cable goes in and remove the slide. Make sure you dont lose the needle, then the carb will be free. Turn the carb upside down. This job is alot easier if you have a compressor with an airgun and simply blow down every pipe hole and jet you see. You will see all the c**p fly everywhere. This is un-blocking any **** thats in the carb. If you haven't got a compressor, then use a needle and push it through every little brass jet you see, also put the fuel inlet pipe in your mouth and blow as hard as you can. Now look at the floats and lift them up and down very gently and you will see that they are attached at the back and lift a needle up and down inside the carb. Blow down the pipe and when they are down you shouldn't be able to blow down it, and when you lift them up you should be able to. If you can blow down it in both positions your float has come dislodged from the bracket at the back so simply re-attach gently. You will see what i mean. Hope this helps. If you're  still stuck then post more details and i'll help you more.
