The two water intake pipes dont have valves on them. Could anyone give me a tip to maybe other location where it might be. I got the power off to it but its leaking into the insulation now and i need to cut the water to it asap. Thanks.

  1. You may not have a dedicated shut off valve.  If you do, then in the meantime, shut off the main water supply to the mobile.  You will lose all water to the rest of your unit, but at least you'll stop the leak for the time being.

Now, check out this site and see if it helps out:

    good luck.

  2. If you're in a mobile home park, you probably won't have a meter, but you should have a shut off valve under the trailer somewhere.   It's usually close to the area of the toilets and water heater so they don't have to plumb too far to get it hooked up.  (I used to build these things).  Very few mobile homes have a dedicated cold shut off for the water heater, but I always put one on when I replace a unit.   If you're thinking about draining it, which would be a good idea to relieve the pressure  on the leaking area, be sure to turn off the electricity to it before draining, or you'll ruin the elements.   They have to be submerged in water before they're energized.   You'll have to have someone coming to replace it soon after you shut off the water as it will stop everything in the whole house.

  3. Under the house where the inlet water line hooks to the house water line there should be a shut off valve.  It will shut off all water to the house.  Now that I think about it, I put that valve there when we set up the house.  Turn it off at the meter.

  4. good advice from gilfinn.  I would also drain the heater to stop the leak completely.  Hook a hose to the drain, open the spigot and let it drain out.  You might have to open a hot water spigot in the bathroom or kitchen also so the water will flow.

  5. At the meter.
