Question:

My Mom Smokes, What Should I Do?

In November I found out that my mom has been smoking weed. I found her bong, some paper, some veils of that oil c**p, I've realized that when she does it she coughs a lot in her room, and she comes out of her room all stinky. What should I do, I haven't told anybody, except my dad, but they're separated. She doesn't know that I know. She started smoking normal cigarettes when they broke up 3 years ago. But now she has a new boyfriend, so I know that she's not sad anymore, I plan to tell my 21 year old sister soon when I visit her. I have no idea what to do. Help Please

  1. Yea you should tell your 21 year old sister when you visit her.Maybe she will help you help your mom quit because smoking is not good at all and if she doesnt quit it will eventually catch up to her and her health. So yea, tell your sis and work together to help your mom quit but if your sis doesnt help then you can help your mom by yourself or you can get a close friend or family member of your mom

    Good Luck

    I Hope I Helped

    Bye

  2. The Best thing to do is to confront your mom and tell her that you care about her, and tell her the dangers of smoking weed and encourage her to get some help at a rehab center. If that doesnt work, and you cant take it anymore, request to live with your sister or dad. :/

    Hope that helps!

  3. you could set down and talk to youre mom about it ! and see if she will quit doing it because she wouldnt wont you to do it and that she is setting examples to you .. its probably the new bf thing why she is doing it and she will probably give it up if you talk to her about it .. good luck

  4. Don't worry about it. Pot doesn't kill people the way cigarettes sometimes do. Plus she's a grownup and it isn't going to harm her the way it could harm you.

  5. before any thing you should talk to your mom.console her. she needs to be talked to very frankly. make her to change her way with your affection. Now, don't tell your sister  after talking to your mom, if she is showig a little inclination to get away fine you can help her so. if she is adamant, not inclined for a reform, seek your sister's help then take her for camp, meditation like art of living or anything. you'll succeed soon.

  6. I would think it is time you had a heart to heart talk with your mother. Be open and honest and direct. This is a time for honest communication and caring. Running around behind her back telling on her only genders distrust.Tell her what you know. If you do not know for a fact ask her what is going on. Tell her your concerns and why you are concerned.

  7. You don't do anything. She's your mother. A big girl. Can you say the same? I don't think so, or you wouldn't be acting the way you are. Especially when you want to bring your older sister into this. You're only going to cause trouble by doing so. What do you think your sister is going to do? Does she have some power over your mother? Of course not. Just leave your mother alone, and your sister out of it, and face it, some parents smoke. Yours happens to be one of them. Show her some respect now.

  8. your 21 year old sister probably smokes pot too

  9. Educate yourself on weed and cigarettes (plenty of sources online). Forget the legality factor, there may be more to it than you think, and see which is worse and addicting.

You said she started smoking 3 yrs ago,but now has found a new bf. Are you implying you're not sure why she is continuing to smoke? It IS a bad habit and very addictive and I personally don't think non smokers will understand what its like. She probably just carried on the cigarettes even after she found a new boyfriend because she's addicted.

Regardless, you can tell her how you feel about her doing such things. She is her own person and an adult, you can't just change her. But maybe she could carry all her smoking elsewhere, at least outside.

  10. The best thing for you to do is get over it. Leave her alone. She is old enough to smoke, and old enough to make her own decisions.

Besides, if your mom smokes, it will be easier for you to get away with it, so look on the bright side!
