my Dad is a stupid drug addict and he's been back and forth in my life. he left my mom and i homeless when I was 8. anyway that's a long story, we lived w/ppl, etc. anyway he's staying with us right now (but we're kicking him out soon, because he's refusing to give us money! he's given my mom only 50 $ in 3 weeks!)

my mom works so hard and our rent is so extremely high. we have no money for anything (we have no help) my mom has a job from home (it was working for the last 3 years) until now..she works so hard...she works 9am-11pm every single DAY! Everyday! I love my mom so much and she has done so much for me and everything. I work with her every single day and know what she goes through. she was a hairdresser (for 30 years)

what can I do to help out more...she wants a new job...what is good for her?? we need help and I love her so much. i want her to start having a fun life and not working it away. we've been on such a long, hard journey for the last 8 years (i'm 16 now)

  1. i wish my kid was half as appreciative as you. Please don't ever change that caring attitude even when your circumstances do. and it will change for the better because your mom and you are too decent for something good not to come out of it! keep prayin sister and so will I!!

  2. Go to college, so you can eventually make enough money to help support her. And get that good for nothing OUT of your house.

  3. Maybe you and your mother qualify for some government assistance, such as food stamps, medicaid, WIC, etc.

I know that most people have a tendency to associate government assistance w/ lazy people who don't want to work -yet can find money to buy brand new cars w/ loud stereo systems and ugly chrome wheels and accessories, but it sounds like you and your mother are really trying your best just to get by.  Since she is out there busting her butt and you are also working, but still in school, you guys probably qualify for some sort of help, and it would probably help your situation somewhat.  Every little bit helps.

Also, one thing that can greatly help you guys in the long run is for you to stay in school and stay focused on making good grades, b/c college tuition and books are expensive.  If you can get into college on a full or even a partial scholarship, you can get a good job one day and get both you and your mother on your feet, and start living better lives.

I wish you both the best and I know that things will get better.

  4. Keep it up--you are on the right path.  Your mom sounds like an amazing person, and so do you for helping her and working yourself besides.  All the best to both of you.  The only thing I can suggest is to kick your dad out and change the locks.  The last thing your mom needs is a drug-addicted leech sponging off  her.

  5. your a good kid i wish i knew what to say for yours are the live of quiet desperation i try to explain to these other self absorbed punks who whine because heath ledger died or dad won't by me a new cell phone. yours is the hard life of the common man who's dignity is his only possession you are the real America and all i can do is say a prayer for you. god be with you and yours.
