Spank sounds like something he does a lot if it's his name. So people would get kinda worried if that's his name.

Try something cute, and not a verb like..  Curious George or something because most monkeys are very very curious, right?

aww that would be adorable.. but when u introduce it to people idk it to me if someone introduced me to a monkey named spank i would wonder why it had that name. like is that monkey going to spank me?

Funny name, but as long as you don't actually spank your monkey in public then I am sure its ok to just name it Spank
