My Mouse Gone Crazy (computer mouse)?

My friend liz's, mouse keeps going around crazy >.<

like when she moves it it goes all around that laptop and stuff

she said it happened when she cleaned it (she has a laptop)

and its been doing it since yesterday D;

plz leave an answer cuz shes pissed -.-

You mean its moving really fast?

If so, go into the control panel, and adjust the pointer speed settings. If it is an external mouse, it may have sensitivity control buttons on it she may have it. If it&#039;s a touch pad, and she cleaned it wrong, she may have damaged it beyond repair.

Did she clean the mouse itself, or the laptop?  Is the mouse an optical mouse, or the older less reliable ball type mouse?

She might need a new mouse driver that she can get from the mouse manufacturer.  She might need to get a new mouse.  Can she try a different mouse on her laptop?  If so, and it still acts crazy, then I would suspect a new driver is needed.  Course, this new mouse must be the same sort as her original mouse that is going crazy.  If she can bring her laptop over to your house, try your mouse on her computer (this will most likely require loading your mouse&#039;s software onto her laptop.)

Again, if after you try out a different mouse on her computer, you will know if it is the mouse itself, or the software.  (if the new mouse, with the proper installed software works fine, then it is most likely the old mouses drivers that need updating, it could also be just the mouse)

Of all the computers periferials, the mouse and keyboard are usually the first to need replacement because they are used all the time.
