You get what you pay for honey. Buy another cheap one and you'll be asking this question again in 4 months. Take the extra cash you've got stashed away for a rainy day and buy yourself an Apple ipod. Another possibility if you're just sitting around the house and don't have to carry one around, go to Pandoraradio.com - free music, best selection and it's free. Just plug in who you want to listen to and everything from Frank Sinatra to the s*x Pistols will come up - and did I mention it's free???

Walmart is good for a variety of brands. Overstock.com has a bunch of mp3 players and some are refurbished so they are just as good and a lot cheaper. Also look on craigslist people are always selling stuff there.

I highly recommend the Sansa e200 series, you can get an 8G on Amazon for around $100, I've had mine for 6 months now, and it works great.

If you dont mind them used I'd check Craigslist or Ebay You can usually find some killer deals on either. thats where I got my first Ipod From.. Paid $40 for a 20G Ipod Classic worked great too .. until i dropped it too many times but thats personal error. If you want em new Ebay is still a good place to check. Frys electronics is great too. Also bestbuy usually isn't too bad on pricing but between the two I usually go to frys cause they're typically cheaper.

Mp3 players are pretty cheap because there not as popular as ipods. I found a 30$ one at best by that i bought for 60$ before.
