My Neices Hard Drive has Packed Up!?

Is Replacing It Just A Matter Of Swapping It For A New One Or Is It More complicated than That? She Has All Her Kids Photos On It! Can These Be Redeemed? Please Help! Thanks.

  1. you generally have to transfer the info from one to the other. there's programs )sometimes the manufacturer has a transfer on their websites) but the things on the one hard drive does not transfer on it's own.


  2. Does the system boot up at all? or is just full?

    You can add a second hard drive, and then move the images to the new drive.

    Some drives come with cloning software that will just copy your hard drive to the new one.
