  1. A new grip will always feel awful.  I'm an instructor and I'm shocked when I change someones grip and  they dont complain.  Give it time and I promise it will feel good as well as improve your game.

  2. Listen to your coach.  Ben Hogan once said "Every great golfer has had to fight a hook at least once in their career. A hook is just too much of a good thing"

  3. Listen to him. He is a pro. What i can say is if you have a snap hook, you are releasing too early.  Try to hold your wrists ****** until the shaft is at least parrallell with the ground. I would hold longer if you can. It is a natural problem and with practice you will thank him.

    Good luck buddy.

By the way. What does off 9 mean?

  4. You've made a change and it's taking some time to become accustomed.  That's normal.  Listen to your coach and keep practicing.

  5. listen to him

    play through the discomfort

    he knows best

    thanks much

  6. This is normal.  I used to be pretty heavy into golf and got a few lessons once.  The pro made me change everything about the grip.  It felt so awkward at first, but it takes practice.  It should get better.  Maybe it's not your grip, but your swing.
