My Nintendo Wii always freezes and then shuts down, what's wrong with it?

Freezes about1 minute after I turn it on. . .

  1. It's knackered! But Nintendo have the obligation to replace any faulty product that they manufacture so just send it back and you'll get a brand new one.


  2. Honestly, I have no idea. I have a Wii as well.

    I think the best thing to do would be either call the company and explain to them your problem, or go to BestBuy's Geek Squad. They might be able to help you out as well. The same thing happened with my PS3. After putting in a game it would freeze as soon as it started. I called the company, shipped it back to them and had a new PS3 within 2 weeks. Hope it goes well for you.

  3. It may be a overheating problem. Make sure that your Wii is in a well ventilated place, and that you don't have anything on top or directly next to it.

    If it's worked in the past without problems, it's probably best to have Nintendo fix it up for you, because it could also be a problem with the GPU or a cooling fan.
