my norton subscription ran out today will i still be safe while surfing the web? I wont be able to renew i till about 1 week? thanks for your help

No you arent, but why are you paying for anti-virus? you should download a free one like AVG or Avast, my personal fave is Avast.

I really dont get why people still pay for anti-virus. madness.

Not from new viruses. I would recommend a BETTER, FREE antivirus such as AVAST!!! www.avast.com

No you won't be protected after it ran out. But you can download free virus software off the web. Its not as good as Norton but its better than nothing.

No, the app will go in on demand mode without updates. BTW why would you pay for such a c**p?

Uninstall your present insecurity software and use the following:

browser - http://www.opera.com/ - replace IE, it's a malware magnet junk

antivirus - http://www.avast.com/

antispyware - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...

................. - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

They are all the best in their category and FREE. Stay away from AVG or security suites.

you should be realy careful because that mean ur computer is not protected wile on sites i would stay off for that wk just to be safe

You're still protected, you just won't be able to download virus definition updates until then.

You will be protected from old viruses, but since Norton will no longer update, you will not be protected from new threats. And there are dozens and dozens of new malware variants released by the "black-hats" each and every day 24/7.

yes it stills protect you its just that you cannot get updates
