My Older Brother?????

Question

Will beat the living **** out of me for no reason but if someone else touches me he'll beat the **** out of them.

Why is this I mean if you beat someone up apparently you don't like them but if you protect someone that means you love them. Why does he do this it's weird because since he will beat me up why would he care if someone else tried to?

My stepsister and I would have physical fights and we even pulled knifes out. this was 80s. But if someone teased or bullying either one of us. we always had each other's backs. It's just sibling love.

He might be kind of posessive over you and I would sort of take it as a compliment. Now, if he's really hurting you, I would tell someone but the fact that he doesn't let anybody else pick on you is sweet. It's just a brother thing. My older brother will pin my younger brother to the floor and punch the c**p out of him but if anybody else tried to, he would hurt them. It's just typical brothers fighting.

This is how my older brother is to my little brother. It's not like he beats the living c**p out of him (but he will physical) but if anyone else were to lay their finger on my little brother, my older brother probably would beat the c**p out of them. I think it's a brotherly thing. It's a combination of sibling rivalry and protectiveness that older brothers have.

Yeah based on your additional info, it does sound just a little over the top, I mean, do you feel abused? It still sounds half way normal to me, but I'm good at downplaying situations. If you feel like it's an issue, idk, tell him, or your dad or something and maybe talk about it. It would be best to get your dad to help talk.
