How old are the kids?  I would say $1.50 per hour per kid sounds about right.

You shouldn't make her pay you, you are just doing her a favor. If she wants to pay you say "Whatever you think is fair" for your rate.

Babysitting is a job - unless you WANT to do it for free you are perfectly entitled to charge her -  shes paid you before.

In NZ the standard rate is about $8-10 per hour - not sure where you are.
