My Olympus Evolt E-500 Is not allowing me to put Rapid Fire on. How do I fix this?

I have Had an E-500 for a while now, but the Rapid fire in the shooting mode is greyed out, not allowing me to select it. How Do I fix this to be able to use it again?

  1. The rapid fire mode is called 'Sequential Shooting' in the E-500. You can only use it in Auto or one of the manual settings on the top dial...but, not while using the Scene Modes or if you have Noise Reduction set to ON. So, make sure you are using the correct shooting mode.

    Read Page 62 of your manual...and also page 187 for a chart that shows you in which shooting mode you can use Sequential Shooting...
