My Orange broadband keeps getting slower and slower - is your broadband speed getting steadily worse ?

try the think broadband speed test- I'm getting slower and slower download speeds. what is the problem - I'm paying for 8M but getting 0.6 -

your not paying for 8meg. your paying upto 8meg.

i get roughly 5meg which is good for me but it gets slower at night due to loads of teenagers around my area using torrents and limewire...

you should talk to orange and they will run a line test through your phone line to see if its damage.

yes it is actually, and i thought it was just happening to me...

it"s dead frustrating and to be honest it makes me want to kick the h**l out of my computer...lol

Mines been good lately but I'm not with Orange. I did have a couple of bad spells and got on to my ISP. Although it is "up to" there is a limit to how slow you should expect. Generally evenings and weekends are the slowest when lots of people are online.

GRRR! i have to pay for 8MB on orange but i only get 0.63 according to a speed test, its like i was bumped down to 512k DSL

My Sky broadband seems to be getting slower and slower these days too. I think the telephone lines are less than adequate for the number of users.

well it has taken me three minutes to get on to broadband... it was slow last night so I put a small, clock in front of me tonight and timed it. What is going on... its like dragging teeth, and it is getting on my nerves. It must be linked to the recession. !!!

Its not just Orange, its every network. Im on 3 pay as you go broadband and it is ridiculously slow. My old analogue internet (when I last had it 3 or 4 years ago) was a lot faster!

It's absolutely ridiculous and they are seriously ripping us off. Considering this is supposed to be the all vaulted replacement for the old style analogue internet they really should do something to improve it.

The speed your internet works mainly depends on your area, it might be slow with orange but faster with other broadband networks see which broadband networks work fastest on your local area.

It might also be slow if you download too much or not have much space, remember to do disk defragmenter and disk cleanup every 2-3 months and update your computer
