We have an Airlink101 150N wireless router and the receiving HP PC (across the house) has an Airlink 150N PCI wireless adapter. The PC is able to connect to the router with no problem, using the WEP password, but I can't get it to browse or bring up an IM program. I've looked for all kinds of answers online but nothing has helped. The PC has Norton software and turned off that firewall (as well as Windows) and that helped allow it to connect to the router. But I'm still at a loss. The PC had NO problems connecting to our previous Linksys router (wireless G, not N), but the signal was weak - so I decided to upgrade to wireless N. This is driving me nuts - I'm sure it's something simple I have to tweak but I'm looking for help.

  1. Sounds like you are missing a driver file.  I would delete the device and reinstall with the MFG driver file

  2. Too many possibilities.  How about more info?  Have you installed all software that came with the router?  Have you redefined security on the new router, etc.  Too many etcs

I have a feeling your old wireless card, being G, will not connect to the router.

  3. chk i fur router is connected to the internet!!
