My PC wont Boot UP - Winninet.dll corrupt message - Can you help please? ?

Hi,

My PC wont boot, it getting to a blue screen with the following message:

STOP: c00000221 {Bad Image Checksum}

the image wininet.dll is ossibly corrupt. Thea header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

how can i resolve this?

all help much appreciated.

  1. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes .   3. Find your Windows installation CD. Put it in the drive and reboot. At the black screen continue to tap the F10 key to choose to boot from the CD.Use the arrow keys to highlight the CD drive and tap enter. Start to install Windows - when you get to the part where Windows detects what operating system in on the hard drive - choose to repair it. Go through the rest of the installation (you will not loose your data - but you will loose your updates).
