  1. Lemme guess...

    You just started high school?

Don't worry man, they usually give you 13 mins to do it.Just try your best.If you do,he'll give you a good grade for effort.

    You can walk fast too.

  2. iPod!!!!

Ask your PE teacher if you can use headphones while you run. The music distracts you from what you're doing.

  3. you will get used to running in no time it's just that you aren't used to running so it's rough the first few weeks.  we used to have to run everyday in gym when i was in highschool, so only running on fridays would be awesome for me!

  4. Well at least it'll be healthy

  5. do what you can, its all about endurance.  perhaps during the week you can run a little bit on your own, by the end of the year you will be doing a mile in no time!

good luck, im terrible with running also!

  6. You can lose some weight.

  7. get your parents to write a note and say you have asthma and if you will have an asthma attack so you can sit down while the class runs

  8. Go to the gym nd work out

  9. Practice running at home too.  The more you run the easier it gets and the better shape you will be in.

  10. take it nice and easy. count in your head. one-two-three. one-two-three.

it'll get you in a rhythm and also give  you something to concentrate on rather than pain and/or tiredness.

my advice would be to NOT run with a buddy. i find that i am either rushing to keep up with them (not good at all, tires you out faster) or am trying to not get too far ahead of them (not good, gets you out of your rhythm.)

dont forget to BREATHE. in the nose, out the mouth.

  11. try to go at a steady pace.. or find a friend taht also prefers to  walk or jog at your pace..

im pretty sure you arent the only one out there that thinks hes rough

  12. ok so i am the worst runner ever. like ever. and when i started high school field hockey a few yrs ago it seemed so awful that we had to run a mile every day!! but after like a few weeks, a mile really wasnt that big of a deal.  we run like 3 miles now plus sprints and im still getting used to it :( i hate running.

run at home too, not just in PE, promise itll work faster than you think if you commit

  13. Do intervals, run for 2 minutes, walk fast for 2 minutes, and so on.  Before you know it you'll be running the whole mile in record time :-)

  14. cut back on bad foods and run before school do build up your endurance

  15. Do what you can and nothing more. Don't push yourself to death for a grade. You're there to learn and personally I don't think Physical Education is a learning class but that's beside the point. I would say do some work outside of class if it means enough to you, otherwise just focus on eating right and taking it day by day. Maybe talk to the teacher and suggest running it after school for make up points. That's what I did and I passed with an A.

  16. Start out slow and pace yourself. You should be fine. At least now you know you should get in shape!

  17. It mostly mental.  Think about the mile thursday night/friday morning so much that you just want to get it over with.  And do jumping jacks at night and before the run.  stretches ok and warms you up and helps with cardio, not making you tire as fast

  18. just put up with it! trust me if u do the running like youre supposed to, it gets easier. and its good for you.

  19. u can run

  20. Get in shape by exercise more at home and run more often than just on Friday in your PE class. Eventually you will not sweat a mile. It is just a little exercise, it won't kill you.

  21. If you have to, try to run as long as you can at a steady pace. Maybe run with a friend that runs about the same as you so they can help motivate you to keep going. If you get out of breath, fast walk for about 100 yards and then start to jog/run again. Once you have done this for a while it will get easier. Also, start running outside of school or buy a stationary bike to put in your house so you can get in better shape, or join a sport.

  22. **** her

  23. ... Get fit?

It's a good opportunity. You'll find that with each Friday that comes, you'll be able to run further and further before getting tired.

  24. try and get into better shape. You'll feel better
