My PRO50LH will run but only throttle up about 1/4 of the way, any ideas?

I assume this is a carbureted motor? It sounds like you have some debris clogging the high-speed circuit of the carburetor. Don't attempt to disassemble it if you are not already familiar with them... take it to a qualified mechanic to have it pulled down and cleaned.

i had the same problem about 2 weeks ago and it was the fuel pump, changed it and now it goes full throttle with no problem

this is a Yamaha? long shaft? with a tiller handle?? i would check the control cable to be sure it is shifting completely... fi you are saying it cuts off on you at 1/4 throttle, try pulling the choke out... if it keeps it running, you need to probably have your caburators cleaned...
