My PS3 online connection?

Question

When I first bought, around 2 months ago, my PS3 I a full signal strength when i played online but it was only recently when it has started getting worse and now when I play online I get a rubbish connection, which sometimes lags. I have a BT Business Hub which is set up next to my PS3 and I use a wired connection. Basically all I need to know is how I can get a better connection and why it has got worse.

Check your connection and try using wireless connection,it's better

Do you download anything to your PC while playing PS3? This takes a big part of the broadband channel. Scan your PC for spyware (AVG antispyware, Ad-aware). Talk to your provider. Another answerer (CPU worried) isn't right, wired connection is more stable, secure and reliable. I use a wired connection (my router is near PS3). Don't use HUB, use router - it's better. I got a decent, VPN supporting router (D-Link-604) for 30 bucks.
