Question:

My PSP no longer reads the UMD's which part is broken?

I want to know the specific part I am not looking for the easy-"just take it to place where they fix PSP's" I would like to know if fixing it isn't going to be to expensive.

  1. Fixing it yourself will be a lot cheaper then sending it in to be repaired. You can easily find a new umd laser assymbly online and check out http://www.squidoo.com/psp-repair for a repair guide. They can show you how to fix anything on your psp:  firmware, the LCD screen, joystick, whatever.

    They will also teach you to downgrade, play non UMD movies, download games ect
