I have dropped my PSP a few times, but even so, my PSP worked fine. All of a sudden, it only works if it's plugged into the charger, and it will turn on and work until you go to the internet or press the music you want to listen to.

  1. put the battery in the PSP and put it on the charger, keep the system on the charger until the battery is fully charged (check under settings->system settings->battery information), then, with the system on, pull the system off the charger, if the system immediately turns off, or if it shows the low battery icon in the corner, then your battery is shot, nothing you can do for it but buy a new battery (the reason it seems to shut off while listening to music or surfing the web is because the psp needs more juice to listen to music, and for some reason, refuses to charge when using wifi)
