My PSP won't work unless it is plugged into the wall. I bought another cheap battery at gamespot but it still won't work. It doesn't turn on unless it is plugged in and once you unplug it it will shut off. When it is plugged in the battery is at either one or zero bars. What should I do?

  1. Send it back to the factory if you still have a warranty. If you don't, google around for PSP repair shops, you can usually get a check for pretty cheap if not free, and the repair will probably cost you anywhere between $20 and $100. From the sounds of it something in the battery area melted or short circuited or something but if the rest is working fine plugged in it should be pretty cheap to fix.

  2. You might need a new battery.

    A manufactures battery.
