My Panasonic DMR-ES20 DVD recorder was playing burned DVDs, and now, all of the sudden, it stopped, WHY?

My Xbox 360 doesn't read them either... BUT my old, junker basic DVD player DOES...! what the heck!?!?

The DVD recorder can read older discs that I have burned, but None of the new ones, and it read one of them a couple days ago, so I know it was working... is there anything I can do, or is it pointless?
