Question:

My Panasonic TV won't turn on?

It's a standard Panasonic TV. The model # is CT-20D11E if that helps at all. Basically, this happened out of no where. When I hit the power button, the TV makes the sound it normally does when it turns on, but no picture pops on screen. I just Googled this real quick and found similar issues from other people, and I saw things mentioned like regulators and power supplies.

If anyone knows what the problem could be, could you please tell me if it would be more cost effective to get it repaired (never had a TV repaired before) or replaced. I'm kind of broke, so if I had to replace it, I'd get a cheap-o one anyways. Also, if you know what part would need replacing then would it be cheaper for me to do it myself? I'm not super handy, and have never messed with a TV set before, but I have upgraded parts to my computer and Xbox and wouldn't mind trying if it saves me some $$.

  1. buy a new one in best buy best tvs

  2. I'm going to answer you indirectly. Since you have an old style TV, it almost certainly is cheaper to replace it with another used TV than to repair it. On Craigslist, small 20 inch TVs like yours usually go for less than $50. I see several listed right now. Here's a link below for a free one.
