My Panasonic cordless phone (Model kx-tga244w) wont work, its completely frozen.

I was talking on the handset and I went to press the off button to hang it up, but I heard a weird noise coming out, it said the call was on hold and to "enter extension number" so i went to press the off button. to cancel it out, and it was frozen completely, not responding to key presses ect, so I took out the battery pack thinking it would fix it..but it didnt.

The phone still wont respond when I press ANY buttons, but when I put it in the charger base it says CHARGING and lights up. When I pick up the handset from the charger I get a message saying "Please try again" I dont understand.

Also, the battery was on full but now its on 1/3. I dont get it help please!!

  1. Your phone might have been fried by ESD.

Remove the battery pack again. Keep the battery not inserted longer say more than an hour to discharge remaining currents/charges. Return back the battery then charge it for an hour. It should return to normal operation.

    Goodluck.
