  1. A parakeet is a bird and since all birds fly, it's hard to tell where your little friend is at. Your parakeet is probably frightened, and the best thing to do is to put it's cage out someplace in the open. I heard about this in a book, that parakeets look for something familiar to them. Call their name and post fliers for others to be on the lookout. Other than that, I'm afraid, that your parakeet might be lost =[

  2. Aww, the same thing happened  with 2 of my favorite budgies. I had raised one of them since it was a baby and had him for over 2 years. It never returned.

  3. Sit her cage outside so she will see it and come back, they won't fly out of the neighborhood, they usually find other parakeets and join the flock.

  4. i agree with Mangose..

keep callin her name shes probably REALLY CLOSE.

    GOOD LUCK HUN!

  5. I agree with the cage thing but also scat er a whole bunch of seed all around the cage and your yard.

  6. He's a flying bird, he could be anywhere - in your back yard, in your neighborhood, or 20 miles away. Hang flyers around your area so if someone finds him they can return him. We had a cockateil come and land on a kid's head when we were out playing kickball in a field. We have no idea where he came from, so we kept him. We've had him for 5 years and he is sooooo cute :)

  7. Sit her cage outside, in the middle of the yard or wherever she can see it. Call her name, or if you're busy, play a looping recording of you calling her name. My budgies don't fly for too too long.. She's probably sitting around in a tree somewhere, or with a feral budgie flock.
