My Parakeet sick..... help????

my female parakeet bird is sick... its lying on the ground unable to stand, it used to lay a lot of eggs so is the bird weak or is its time over. it has been with me from the past 5years, is it dying of old age. is there anything i can do to help it?? please help... and fast.......

A bird at that point needs immediate medical care!  Take her to an emergency vet right now, and make sure she stays warm!

The best thing you can do to help it is to take it to the vet. If it's that sick there's nothing you can do for it yourself. Offer it a little water in a shallow dish--don't try to force it to drink, it's too easy to make a bird choke--and get it to a vet ASAP.

I suggest you bring it out for some sunlight. This will make them feel better. Take it to the vet after that.
