  1. It depends on what cruise line you are with, most actually use onboard accounts that you can swipe your credit card as in a hotel and everything aboard can be charged back to the account.

If you book excursions with the cruise line then that also goes on your on board account.

So spending money whilst in port is normally limited to gifts/odd drinks, as most ships have all you can eat policies you can have a big breakfast and not have to bother about Lunch, fill up a bottle of water or two onboard.

So expenses are limited to any personal excursions you want to do (taxis, entrance fees etc..) and any gifts.  Don't forget small denomination cents with your Euros for toilets!

  2. Your exact price depends upon selected day of departure, cruise line, departure city, ship, cabin level and class of airfare available, outside excursions. Remember all meals, sodas, and activities are included except alcohol drinks.

Look in http://www.ytbtravel.com/travelwithmca for more information.

Be positive and enjoy your trip!

  3. All the onboard spending is normally put on your credit card, unless you put cash up front at the reception desk. It all depends on how much you want to spend, but be careful of extras, like photos, excursions, etc.   We normally take £1000 worth of euros with us as well to spend when you are off the ship.  Enjoy your cruise.

  4. what ship are you going on and what date in Sept, just out of curiosity?

you have your ports of call ,which if you decide to do any organised trips, set aside a few hundred pounds to allocate for these. you're alcoholic drinks do tend to add up over a fortnights cruise,so keep an eye on your bar bill,we didn't go mad but ours came to about £500.00 but there were a few items from the shop included in this including a bottle of aftershave at £35.00. on p&o you have to also purchase pop and sundaes (special ice-cream) set aside money if you need to visit the docs on board, she charges £60.00 a pop.

also a couple of hundred in euros to spend in your ports of call. so all in all to be comfortable i would say about £1,500.

    have a good holiday,bon voyage.

  5. i cant imagine you would need that much.

its normally all inclusive on a cruise!

have a very very nice time tho!

  6. Guess you are the only one that can answer that question!! Are you a big spender? Will you purchase gifts for others? Will you eat off the ship? What about sighht seeing adventures? How much gambling will you do? Will you eat  at the restaurants on board that charge an additional fee? Are you big drinkers?

  7. Cost is very expensive.  For spending money you would pay for all your alcoholic drinks, all your soda, any time you spend in the casino.  Most Med cruises have great art auctions and spas if you plan to visit those.  Then that doesnt even count the ports of call.

Ports of call-Italy is expensive.  What do you want to do?  Shore excursions run roughly 75 quid per person per shore excursion--some more some less.  Shopping in Italy could run you way more than that.  So how many shore excursions might you take?

As you can see it all depends on you--how much you drink, gamble and shop.  You could spend just a couple hundred or several thousand.

  8. Depends on whether the excursions and gratuities are included.  These are the big spend items on a cruise.  Oh, and the bar bill.

  9. its not easy to answer //if your going to live it up take all you can but if your just doing the day trips and spending rest of time on-board then a moderate amount would suffice

  10. Wooohhh Break open the Bank there my dear

Any ammount of money wont be enough

If I were you Id give them a blank cheque book, tell them to go have fun, and just wait and see how much change they bring home....

You got til next year to get over it, havent u?

Whatever I hope they have fun... how come you're not invited, I think thats meany of them....
